Kinda disappointing. I didn't see Kylie. It did cause me some very F'ed up dreams though.



What r your xperiences with the stuff?

My only experience of it was my friend drinking it, and she just kept falling down stairs! I was in charge of picking her up...worst hangover she's ever had apparently. Didnt stop her doing it again though!

I drank about half a pint of it, the first time I had it and also necked some speed at the same time. I then proceeded to drink copious amounts of beer in a pub and subsequently got barred for telling a sixty-year old man that I'd blow him off if he wanted.

I should add that I wasn't serious about the offer of oral sex to the geriatric. He'd been making disparaging remarks about me, so I thought I'd freak him out. I wanted him to punch me, so I could punch him back. It all made perfect sense at the time.

I had a one-way ticket to Selfdestructoville.

I've never drank absinthe since, nor ingested amphetamines. My cousin drove across town to rescue me. He took me back to the house we shared at the time and people started turning invisible in front of me. I stayed in bed for two days afterwards.

I have stopped drinking it now it was starting to have no effect on me,

We´ve had several Absinthe threads on this site over the years and I´m too busy to go into details right now but, to make a long story short, there are a lot of bad Absinthe brands on the markets, and even the best ones don´t even come close to the original recipe which had a much higher thujon content back in the days.


Lasala and Serpia, two French/Spanish producers and some obscure Czech companies give you a bit more for your money, in fact I still happen to have a bottle of Lasala right here in my kitchen, but none of those new brands can match the Absinthe that Van Gogh and Oscar Wilde used to drink.

I drank it once on New Years' Eve in Prague. I didn't feel drunk, but my view was different. The fireworks seemed to grow and the streets were wider.
