DAMN!! I cant BELIEVE he ACTUALLY DID IT!!!

...my boyfriend went and tattooed my name on his chest yesterday!! Im in a state of shock because I didnt believe he'd actually do it! I mean, wow. shocked SO my friends are saying to me, THIS IS IT GIRL because guys dont do stuff like that just for fun! We've been together/talking for 1 year and 1 month. Isnt that fast? Isnt that hasty? Is he pushing it? I really care about him and he is supposed to be moving in with me in 2 weeks and stuff but wow, tattooing my name on him? I kinda feel flattered/worried/excited/weird. I told him, he knows, but he doesnt care/mind. The name is on him. And that is that. lol

Any similiar stories/advice?

What a moron. Despite what we may want to think, no relationship is guaranteed to work out.

That's great to hear, but the key difference is that should you and your husband not work out, he won't be carrying around a now useless permanent scar.

Is he The One?
Are you going to stay with him for the rest of your life?
Who does he spend most time with you or his friends?
Does he hardly see his friends anymore cos he is always with you?
Is he insecure?

The person staying would just refinance and give the other person the equity they put into the house or else you would both move and split the equity from the sale which is easier then explaining someone elses name to your next girlfriend big grin

Wow...not sure what to say. If it was me I'd dump the guy. Flattering? Yes. But I'm sorry, I couldn't have much tolerance for a move that stupid. As much in love as the two of you may be now, things can change. neutral

Now that'd be priceless; a guy getting your name tattooed only to be promptly dumped.

There's a heartbreak story he'd tell more than once in his lifetime.

Of course it'd be his fault. That's what gives it that hilarious touch.

Many pornstars, male or female, have their partner´s name tatooed on their body.
That must be true, unconditional love. wink

And I´ve seen some Formula One racing fans who had some big ass race course tatooed on their backs.

Another weird (and sad) tatoo was the one with the lady who had the name of a gambling casino tatooed on her forehead for , I don´t know, 30.000 $ ?

I know a guy who has a picture and the name of his ex-girlfriend tatooed on his arm...the tatoo is more than 40 years old and looks blurry.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Don't forget Johnny Depp's Winona Forver tattoo. Now it says Wino Forever. wink

CMK--you said you didn't believe he'd actually do it...does that mean he had mentioned it to you before? If you didn't openly discourage him/or tell him no, then I don't think you can really be mad about it. If he mentioned he wanted to do it and you said you thought it was a bad idea and he did it anyway, that would bother me more, cause he didn't consider your feelings and did what made him happy.

Since I don't know either of you personally, it's not my right to judge but that's just my twocents
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

He didn't follow the rules of tattooing:

1. No tattoos above the collar or below the elbows

2. No tattoos of names or likenesses of living people (that means your kids too!)

3. No tattoos while under the influence

To tell the truth I wouldn't and wouldn't want my girlfriend to put my name on her body. They shouldn't have to permatley write somebodies name on thier body to show them how much they love them or whatever the case may be. It's a sweet and lovely gesture. But you never know what can happen relationship wise. I wouldn't incourage it, even if my girl wanted to do it.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

He had mentioned it to me many times before and always in jest, even so-I always told him not to do it. I told him that he doesnt have to put it on him to prove that he cares for me that much and I certainly wasnt doing it. Im not mad nore am I happy. I havent had much of a reaction because I dont care. It's not my body, I am a little caught off guard but at the same time..I dunno! shrug
