Are you having to run the PC in safe mode then?, I had to format my PC and lost all the documents; music etc. on it, as you can't record data CDs in Safe Mode.

However, is there a way you could get one of those USB devices to save your work on?, I think some are quite reasonably priced now. Other than that, I'm not sure what to suggest. Like I said before, the best option would be to format the hard-drive and maybe try an alternative operating system to Windows if the problem still occurs.

Also maybe get a computer expert to look at, but ofcourse this would cost, and they would most likely suggest the same thing(s) we have here.

Transferring the files to another computer via a hub and then transferring them back after a reformat and reinstall of your operating system would be ideal if possible.
