in the dishwasher today....

i've been CRAZY busy at work for the last 2 weeks. the Presdient of our organization has been in town and when he is, I am his assistant. on top of that, we have a quarterly board meeting in L.A. this weekend. and I'm overseeing construction and a move into new space. so...

i last night used the last of the dishwasher detergent, and planned to pick some up today while I was out. well, I forgot. I remembered when I went to load the dishwasher at the end of the day.

it's mainly coffee cups, and a coffee pot. So i figure i'll just run it with hot water. then I see the Dawn dishwashing liquid. I fill up the cup. then I think, oh shit, that would get all sudsy and bad, "DON'T DO IT!" so I get a papertowel and scoop out all of the liquid, and then start the dishwasher.

about five minutes o by and i'm talking to my roommate at my desk. another co-worker paases us and tells me there is something wrong with the dishwasher. i head into the kitchen to find a complete sitcom going on. SUDS GUSHING OUT. arrrrgggghhhhh. THEY WON'T GO AWAY!!!!! internet remedy says put salt in to make the suds go away. or ice to drop the water temp and decrease suds. or fabric softener. great ideas!!!!! except i have none of that shit!!!!

so I'm propping the door open, going home, and returning with salt manana en la manana.

There was one episode where one of the boys used a whole box of laundry detergent when washing clothes and had a ton of suds filling their laundryroom.
