You'll have to invest in Adobe Acrobat WRITER (the READER is the one you can download for free) and install it on your computer. After that it's really easy...the program runs through your printer drivers...so whenever you want to create a PDF you just have to go through the steps of printing, but instead of selecting a printer you select "Adobe PDF" in the menu and the file will appear smile

I don't know shit about these things, but I was just thinking... to send through the papers I want printed for my students they have to be converted to a pdf-file. I downloaded a free program for that, called 'cute pdf converter'. Isn't that what you're looking for? Works fine for me, but then again, those are only simple WORD-files needed to be converted...
