thank ya'll! grouphug

right now i'm already thinking of my first bit of art...i'll be doing a flyer this first time 'round. i just replied to marie's e-mail and asked her a couple of questions about the specifications she'd given me. i gotta send in my stuff as a .pdf file, which i'd better start learning how to do--normally for computer graphics i save things as a .png file...not too familiar with how to save stuff using adobe. i'll figure it out, though. any of ya'll who are graphic designers by trade, feel free to help me if you wish!

i suppose i'm gonna be spending a lotta time at kinko's since i don't have a scanner at home (gonna get one someday) to scan in my hand-drawn stuff...thankfully there's one not too far from my house. thumbs up!

You'll have to invest in Adobe Acrobat WRITER (the READER is the one you can download for free) and install it on your computer. After that it's really easy...the program runs through your printer drivers...so whenever you want to create a PDF you just have to go through the steps of printing, but instead of selecting a printer you select "Adobe PDF" in the menu and the file will appear smile

yeah, i've got adobe reader on my computer...do you have to have a printer installed on your computer in order to make a .pdf file, or you can just save it as such without having to have a printer?

You can usually find a scanner for a good price. I actually have a printer/fax machine/copier/scanner all-in-one. It was only $100.00.

yeah, i heard that you can get one for cheap...i should start shopping around for one tomorrow. nod i wouldn't mind just having a flatbed scanner, i don't need an all-in-one thing...

Nope...you don't need a printer. It just uses your computer's printer capabilties to create the PDF.
