ya'll may remember about 2 months ago when i went in to get my septum pierced for my birthday. welp, the piercing's fully healed now and i just got back from saint sabrina's--the piercer changed the retainer i had had in and replaced it with a CBR (captive bead ring):



...pardon the graininess of the picture, my webcam's a cheap piece of crap. anyway, next weekend i'll be going back to get a circular barbell because it'll be easier for me to change (i can just slip the circular barbell through my nose...this CBR i've got i gotta fiddle with that stoopid little ball in order to remove/attach the jewelry).

Ouch- I had sinus & septoplasty surgery in 2003. Looking at that brings back to pain & discomfort..
At least you got something nice to look at from your pain & discomfort...

I had mine done a looooong time ago. It pinched a bit and made my right eye water but after that it was fine.. I prefer a much thinner shorter wire.

yeah, normally i cringe at the sight of stuff like syringes when i'm getting a flu shot or whatever, but when it comes to stuff like piercings and tattoos the needles don't make me squeamish at all.

you're beautiful! it looks good. i'm not a huge fan of piercing but i think you were right to go with it.

can i ask a weird question because i've always wondered? does it affect your nose in this cold weather we're having?

not really--the jewelry gets cold when i'm outside, but it doesn't do anything like freeze to my skin/nose or anything like that.

and yeah, since it's cold outside i have to wipe my nose sometimes and the jewelry sorta gets in the way. i have a bit of a cold now, but not to the point of having a stuffy nose to blow...thank gawd, because having a snot-covered piercing ain't the greatest thing in the world.
