I gotta designs some moonboots for the project I am currently working on, and I wondered how many people had a pair of these in the 80s when they first came out? I know they have made a return, so who has had/still has, a pair of these monsters?

Moon boots are probably the most hideous footwear ever made

They were great for sledriding though, kept your feet warm . I wouldn't wear them out though or anything like that.

Please - NO! Even astronauts don't wear these monstrosities, surely? They don't match the space helmet, for a start.

What's coming in next? Eye patches?

On ski-holiday I can't do without them, unless I'd avoid snow whenever I'm not wearing my ski-boots, which is like avoiding trees in the jungle.

But as a fashion-item? Are some of you serious? I never saw people wearing them, unless there's snow everywhere.

Some women like to go shopping in ski-resorts wearing the 'peluche' ones though.
