I HATE the word "NO". I always wondered why one would HAVE to say it. I rarely heard this word as a child, but when I did. WOWWY would I get mad
I hardly use this word myself because I hate it. I say something more like, "lets see"

I avoid ALL situations that would put me in a spot where I would have to hear the one word I hate the most, "NO"!

And the word "Wait"! I feel my insides get'n so frustrated when I hear this word

I sit near my supervisor's office and I always hate hearing my name being mumbled from there, because I know it'll only be a matter of minutes before someone gives me some horribly dreadful job. It's like I get to hear them discuss my death sentence before they come out with the damn noose.

"Whatever"... ...It's a disrespectful and dismissive response. It minimizes what the person you're talking to is saying. And yes I highly expect someone to respond to my post with a "Whatever" thinking it's funny...lol

It makes me cringe when I hear it. It's rude. I hear it often in the grocery store...from little kids to their mothers!!!

Unfortunately, it's probably because they've been hearing their parents say it to them. Children tend to mimic their surroundings, not create them.
