Or they're one-trick ponies, offering only music, strippers and porn, pretty boys, crusiers, loud electronica, whatever. Union Station/Bounce/Pumps has it all: I can eat, drink, hear music, chat with all kinds of dudes, catch a drag show, or just kick back and watch some vintage TV with my friends, straight and gay. The black gay club for years has been Club City Lights. That's the current name of it and it's dead as hell now. High priced admission, high priced beer, and low quality music. The club has turned into hip hop gay hell. The name has been changed several times. Former names were Club Interchange (that's when the club was slammin' with the best house music and one of the baddest DJ's ever, DJ Harvey) and Bill's Disco (all the older whores talk about this club, I would have loved to have gone to it).
There's another black club but I don't know the name of it. I went there once and the music was dead as hell. I never went back. There was also a short lived black club called Sugarbaker's. The white gay clubs are Jack and Jill's and JC's (short for Jack's Construction Site). The music is mostly techno but it's tolerable. These are the ones I go to now when I go out. Former white gay clubs have been Jaded and a short lived club called Mosquitos. . . [Edited 2/4/06 11:28am] Andy is a four letter word. | |

Did The Cage re-open? I thought it shut down a few years ago. Yeah, the Grid is cool. I like the old-Hollywood decor inside. It looks like an old-time film house. No, the Cage never reopened. I actually never got a chance to go, as the Cage's heyday was way before I came out, etc. In a way, though, I'm glad -- I heard the Cage was a nasty place.
