You got to give it to Musée d'Orsay, they rock!

When I used to live in Paris, one of my escapes was Musée d'Orsay. Beautiful building, good temporary shows, beautiful art.

It's just across the river from Jardin des Tuileries, where I used to sit in to read my books when weather allowed. One of my magical places in Paris...

Thing is, one of the paintings in Musée d'Orsay is one of my faves and I forgot it's name and it's artist!

So I sent a mail this morning and I got an answer within the hour! Okay, it suggested another painting, but they are really helpful!

So hurray for Musée d'Orsay!

It's been a while since I've been to the d'Orsay. Last time I was in Paris I spent all my time wander the Louvre galleries I hadn't seen on my other trips.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT MUSEUM. Do you know I was just in that area last week!? I wanted to pop by there but I ran too long having lunch at Mariage Frerés and couldn't get over there in time before I had to kick it back to Gallerie Lafayettes for a meeting...I hope I'll get back to Paris in a few months though (on non-business) so I can just go wander around that palce without a care in the word.....aaahhhh, Paris-----
