I am a LOSER!!! I post on the Org.. I am an ORGER!!! What do you think of this?
What are your thoughts of you posting on a Prince website? 
some ppl have no sense of humour, this thread was posted tongue in cheek, i do NOT think orgers are losers, I said I was a loser (says so in black and white) gladly mostly all of you great orgers who posted here, saw the fun in this thread, and apologies to those who clicked on here, read it, misunderstood that maybe i was calling them a loser and i am leaving the org. sometimes I think though, omg, I am spilling out daily details, personal details, to whom? my very good friends of course.. but others may still think this is *just* a website - I think it brings more..

Not that posting here is so bad, I just hate getting lured here SO often & for SUCH long periods of time. I could be getting so much shit done instead

Seems to me that the only--or at least the PRIMARY--way it would be a pathetic type of activity would be if a person constantly used the Internet/the Org to replace day to day contact with people. When media (movies, video games, tv programs, internet sites) is used to avoid or escape reality once in a while, just as a quick break, obviously it's no big deal. But if/when people start to prefer it to 1:1, in-person interactions with friends and family, then I think it's time to take a good look at what is missing in one's day to day existence. Am I using IM/email/posting on the Internet to avoid the unpleasant realities of my life? Do I have a hard time getting along with people in real time, thus online friendships become easier--I can present myself as I'd like to be seen, and in small bits and pieces? Am I creating a fantasy world in my mind by cultivating and putting so much energy into online relationships--especially long distance ones that may cause longing and frustration because we're unable to do things together, in person--when I could quite likely find someone just as compatible in my immediate environment? | |
