The movie Kids was a turning point for me, where from then on, I became much more discriminating about what movies I subject myself to. Something about that movie REALLY disturbed me.

And though, on the surface fairly innocent and old-fashioned, the last time I saw A Streetcar Named Desire, I found it really depressing.

This movie haunted me to my core. The attack of free thinking people sigh

I`ve wanted to see that movie for ages.

Here`s mine:

This is too ugly for me...

Someone mentioned a movie called "Crash" I don`t know if we`re talking about the same "Crash", but the one with James Spader from 1997 really disgusted me.

my picks?

Irreversible
Dancer In The Dark
Man Bites Dog
Cannibal Hollacaust
Itchie The Killer

The thread didn't ask which movies were the best...lol...just which movies left you feeling disturbed. The last 20 minutes of Audition stuck with me for like 6 months straight... confused

then you my friend are weak.

giggle

im just kidding....if you think Audition was disturbing then you have to pick up Itchie which is by the same director....much much worse...

Dancer In The Dark.

Some scenes were so gruesome (NOT the acting, damnit!)

I was half in shock when it ended the way it did.

Well, he's a master of the medium, a true cinematic storyteller. But the movie didn't have much of an emotional punch in anything other than an extremely disturbing scene which makes you regret that you went to see it. Really.
