It's the Year of the Dog. I have no idea what that means, but I definitely like the sound of it. Can anybody tell me more?

I still keep writing Year of the Monkey on all my checks.

I don't know much about Chinese astrology, but I heard the year of the dog is always supposed to start out mildy, but spiral into major world-class events -- wars, natural catastrophes, etc.

...I guess that's pretty vague, eh?
