I can see why Patti did what she did although I wouldn't do it and I feel I have a huge nose and lips. I used to hate them and now I just embrace my ethnicity. I even cut all my hair off and it's in a natural now. are you sure? because the picture on the right looks more "sculpted" than the one on the left...personally, i prefer the "before" picture because it looks more natural, but i don't think it's an enormous difference...though maybe i should go back and look at some pics of her from the '70s. and stymie, there's absolutely NO reason you should change how you look - you're beautiful as-is! sometimes i think if i had the money i'd tone up my nose or get a stronger jawline or something like that, but you know what? NAAAH. people's faces tell their stories, and plastic surgery is like autobiographical revisionism. of course, some people don't give a damn about all that...more power to 'em, i guess. I'm not quite sure what the point of this thread is but, I can relate to some of the feelings expressed in the article. I've had rhinoplasty and decided I still wanted an "ethnic nose" so, it was very dumb to do it at all. There isn't that much change at all in my before and afters. I'm going to have it done again and this time I won't worry about not looking black enough. It's just a nose, it's not like skin bleaching. | |
