Vinaigrette (mustard, vinegar, oil, salt, pepper) in a shaker.

I use different types of oils (nuts, seed) vinegars (with herbs, raspberry)...

I hate ketchup.

And japanese dressing sauce is great.

i like vinagrettes, the more tart the better. raspberry, cranberry, orange...something kinda light but with a kick.

if that's not around, i don't care, i'll drown a salad in french dressing. it reminds me of school lunch.

i used to live in NYC...POMME FRITE KICKED MY ASS. eating a big cone of those fries was like visiting heaven...nobody understands who hasn't tried them. i loved khyber pass and their sauteed pumpkin dish and my favorite cheap place to go used to be dima cafe, for their extra spicy falafel and giant grape leaves. i'm salavating just remembering them...and remember sidewalk cafe? cheapest brunch in the village!

i LOVE souen, though i've only been there a few times. i'm nuts for their macrobiotic plate...they bring out a huge plate with gigantic root vegetables and a ton of condiments and it just tastes like you're eating the essence of health itself...GAWD...i'd eat like that every day if i could, it's like steak dinner for vegetarians.

prince wouldn't hang in the east village now, it's TOO funky - it's beneath him. i'd be impressed if he ever hung out in soho or in little italy...he could check out moby's vegan cafe, but again, i think that's too hip for prince, which is sad, because it's not really that hip at all...love saves the day is too cool. i used to buy all my kitchenware there because it was all '70s kitsch. and if you want indian, yup, you gotta go to curry row. i never knew which one to go to so i'd always go to a different one. i loved RUPALI because it reminded me of rupaul - glitter and rhinestones everywhere!
