I can't even watch the Green Mile, it annoys me

And how about Malcolm X when Denzel is driving the car and you hear that song, "I Know A Train's Gonna Come?" I start bawling 'cause I know what's next.

But the worst is Cooley High. I can't even watch it anymore. Even if I hear "Hard to Say Goodbye To Yesterday" on the radio I start crying.

I'll admit though...the CLOSEST I ever came to crying at a movie was when the first Rugrats movie came out and my brother was about...8 or so, and my mom made me take him to go see it, knowing how much I couldn't tolerate the show or my brother. So we're sitting in the theatre waiting for the movie to start and he's sitting there all happy and shit eating his candy and i'm thinking "I should just leave his ass in here and go the fuck home. Anyway...
In the movie, Tommy hates Dill the same way I hate my brother. And there's this scene where they had ran away from home and Tommy and Dill get REALLY lost in the forest and it starts to storm and shit and they're forced into this cave, and Dill starts to cry and act all scared and shit and then Tommy was MAD as hell and he's like "IF YOU WERE NEVER BORN WE WOULDN'T BE IN THIS SHIT!!" or something to that effect, and then they lock eyes and Tommy forgets how much he hates his brother and covers him up with a huge ass leaf and tries to calm him down and tell him that everything's alright and starts to apologize for being such an asshole to him, and I was like "whoa...." and I looked at my brother and he was crying and he looked at me and I said:
"Do you want anything else from the concession stand?" and he said "No. But thank you for taking me to the movies big brother."

And when I pass this movie on T.V. I usually turn away.

But on the rare occasions I watch it...I am beyond moved by the bond between Celie and the woman her husband loves, who should be her enemy ...but becomes her savior.

The part that gets me most is when poor dumping looking Celie is sitting in the juke joint when all the men oogle Ms. Shug. And they are the contrast between repulsion and desire.

It would have been easy for Shug to ignore and demean Celie here but instead she sings the "Sister" song to her (my fav of the whole movie). That's gets me crying every time.

"I bet you think I don't know nuthin. But singin' the blues. Well sister, have I got news for you. I'm sumthin' I hope you think that you're sumthin too.

...Lately, I've been down that lonely road and I've seen a lot of sun's goin' down. But trust me no LOW LIFE'S gonna run me around. So let me tell you sumthin, Sister, remember your name..."
