There's only one film that gets me every time and it's Sex And Lucia. Specifically the scene where Lorenzo meets Elena again for the first time after their daughter died and as they embrace and he starts crying, she tries hard to stick to her vow to never cry again, but eventually caves in. Very sad.

You secretly wanted to say; "The Sound Of Music", huh? I'll admit though...the CLOSEST I ever came to crying at a movie was when the first Rugrats movie came out and my brother was about...8 or so, and my mom made me take him to go see it, knowing how much I couldn't tolerate the show or my brother. So we're sitting in the theatre waiting for the movie to start and he's sitting there all happy and shit eating his candy and i'm thinking "I should just leave his ass in here and go the fuck home. Fuck him and this dumbass movie." See, the ONLY reason I didn't like my brother was because he's the son of the man my mom married who I HATE with a furious undying passion. So naturally, the sins of the father blah blah blah... Anyway... In the movie, Tommy hates Dill the same way I hate my brother. And there's this scene where they had ran away from home and Tommy and Dill get REALLY lost in the forest and it starts to storm and shit and they're forced into this cave, and Dill starts to cry and act all scared and shit and then Tommy was MAD as hell and he's like "IF YOU WERE NEVER BORN WE WOULDN'T BE IN THIS SHIT!!" or something to that effect, and then they lock eyes and Tommy forgets how much he hates his brother and covers him up with a huge ass leaf and tries to calm him down and tell him that everything's alright and starts to apologize for being such an asshole to him, and I was like "whoa...." and I looked at my brother and he was crying and he looked at me and I said: "Do you want anything else from the concession stand?" and he said "No. But thank you for taking me to the movies big brother." The Elephant Man upsets me. I remember watching it and going upstairs to my room to be upset. I asked my Mum if he was OK in the end.

That movie gave me nightmares for weeks. I kept thinking that if there was one tiny thing wrong with me all the "perfect" people would prosecute me. In that respect, I guess the movie got its point accross. Everything is bullshit

I don't cry over movies--but in HS I went to see My Girl and I did get a little misty when the girl came downstairs during Thomas J.'s funeral crying, "Where are his glasses? He can't see without his glasses!" Sad times.
I find I get more choked up while reading books. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
