So my iPod mini is starting to act up

i think i may have not charged the battery correctly when i first bought it.

i charge it up and it says ok. then when i play it for a long period of time (i normally only listen to it for 15 minutes to and from work everyday. so 30 minutes a day really), it dies out and say that i need to recharge the battery. then i give it a few seconds and the damn thing has more than sufficient juice.

it repeats this show for a few more times and then it settles. funny thing is that it was doing this while i was trying to listent o Emancipation. then it righted itself when i tried for some David Bowie.

anyone suggest anything?

If your iPod requires service only because the battery’s ability to hold an electrical charge has diminished, Apple will replace your iPod for a service fee of $59, plus $6.95 shipping. Be sure to follow all of the battery troubleshooting steps before submitting your iPod for battery replacement.

from apple.com

But why fork out over $65???

Do it yourself for less than $19 ---> http://www.batteryship.co...item=EC003
thumbs up!

The scroll function got stuck the other day....for like the third time. It took I guess about 10 minutes to start working again, but still.....scary thought. One thing that always bothered me about the iPod is the battery life too. It claims to have 10 hours worth of playing time, but I swear mine never lasts that long. Another thing I used to do when I first got my iPod a little over a year ago, was charging the battery before it completely died. I heard it wasn't good to over charge your battery, which makes sense. Only charge it when it tells you to charge.
