well, had a bit of a relapse today. i guess that's what you'd call it. chest pain started again this morning and got worse. never as bad as when i went to the ER, but bad nonetheless. was radiating to my right shoulder and making my right hand tingly. so the doc said to get in to see him asap. they still believe it's pericarditis as there is definite fluid buildup around my heart. so he gave me prednisone, a steroidal anti-inflammatory, and vicodin, a really strong painkiller. if i'm still having problems tomorrow, bad enough that i think i can't work, then i have to go back for more tests so they can try to figure out what the real problem is.
to be perfectly honest, i'm a bit scared. i hope the prednisone works. | |

ok, chest pains are coming back. but i'm still feeling high from the prednisone. now i just have the heavy pressure in my chest. before the pain was radiating into my right shoulder and making my right hand a bit tingly and numb. and it seems to be heading that way again. i think i'll take another vicodin. this is beginning to hurt . . . | |

Have you called your doctor? no. but i'd just like to say . . . . aaaahhhhh . . . thank god for vicodin. pain is receding. i'm feeling much better now.  i'll probably call my doc in the morning to see if i should still be worried. maybe i didn't take the vicodin as i should have and that's why the pain came back. | |
