I went through a phase of using herbal shampoos, non-synthetic ones etc and ones with natural ingredients in but i found that they weighed my hair down. I generally would prefer to use those kinds of shampoos though.

Pomades are waxes made for styling your hair. You can create hair stlyes wonders with them. However, the wax can be hard to wash out. Does that help?
