I went out on a few dates with a guy in college who is now a professional soccer player...
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Well, not really, but my ex girlfriend from a few years back achieved some fame as she worked as a music journalist for Sweden's biggest selling newspaper. She was constantly invited to celebrity parties and such and got fanmail quite often, but she never liked any of it. I sometimes suggested that we could go to one of the parties just to see what it was like, and we did on occasion, but I must admit that she was right to be suspicious. Most of them were full of stuck-up celebs and drooling wannabes which of course is no surprise in itself, but the degree to which it was superficial and annoying and packed with those kinds of people was quite mind-boggling.

I had a friend who was dating one of the guys in Ultimate Kaos (rubbish teeny band from the early 90s), and my mate dated Keira Knightley's brother. They're locals ya see.

Oh, and I know people who have "been with" various Jackson brothers.

When I was a college student, Sinbad (comedian, actor) asked me out on a date.
I turned him down.

What's so HOT about dating someone who has received income from singing or playing a musical instrument? It strikes me funny that that's equated with "someone famous." Is musical talent that rare nowdays? Do they not have band in public high schools anymore?

Professional musicians are not that hard to date. It's just a job like any other. At the end of thr day, they're people too and are just as concerned as making the bottom line ($$$)/ and being accepted by their peers like anyone else wink
