Are you an alcoholic if you drink every day? Like what if you get all your shit done for the day, go home, eat dinner, then knock back two glasses of wine on a daily basis. then a couple other nights a week you go out to a bar and have cocktails. and you rarely skip one day of drinking ANYthing. are you AA material? i don't see a problem. i work everyday, and i usually stop for happy hour every day, i don't get totally trashed, just a little buzzed. it's kinda like, my prozac.  | |

Depends on how it effects you, whether or not you rely on it and use it as a crutch...many alcoholics don't drink everyday, so it's not really about quantity. | |

I have been wondering this myself as I get together often with friends and we share a bottle of wine. My partner and I will watch tv and he has a few guinesses and I'll have a couple of glasses of wine.

No, doctors even suggest Wine and you are allowed a glass or 2 on diets but an ALCOHOLIC woukd be Someone who CANNOT STOP and DRINKS I think to ESCAPE PROBLEMS..Give Up On LIFE ETC..... If you would stop living to depend on drinking that kinda thing....However one should Be Careful NOT to IMBIBE TOO MUCH Cause FATTENING and can cause ALCOHOL POSIONINg. Anything except DRUGS is O.K. in MODERATION..Nobody should DRINK and DRINK to point of VOMITING or CRASHING CARS or PASSING OUT.....I would only drink like 2 drinks if any... i didn't say doctors recommended guinness, but it's full antioxidents, doctors say a lot of good things about that stuff. | |

if there's wine in the house i'll have a glass before bed. if there's not wine in the house, i won't. i don't think of it as a vice, any more than i'm worried about how much coffee i drink in the morning. way too much of ANYTHING isn't good for ya. | |
