If Joe Pesci were a movie, would he be good fella or a lethal weapon?

The Oscar-winning star of GoodFellas and the Lethal Weapon franchise has been named in a police report filed by a Florida college student, who alleges Pesci punched him in the face after he took a photo of the actor.

Juan Carlos Montenegro, 24, filed the report in Boca Raton Sunday, claiming he was slugged by the pint-sized actor during a confrontation in a mall parking lot.

Montenegro told police that he first spotted Pesci at the shopping center, where he approached the actor and shook his hand. When he asked Pesci if he could snap his photo, the actor reportedly refused, saying "not now" as he walked away.

According to the police report, Montenegro said he took the actor's photograph anyway. "Juan stated that Pesci then got furious and punched him in the mouth with his right fist," the police report stated, striking the student in the upper lip. "You shouldn't have interrupted my business," the report quotes Pesci as saying.
The police officer who compiled the report said that there was definite swelling on the right corner of Montenegro's lip, but that he could not find any witnesses to the incident. No charges have been filed against the 62-year-old My Cousin Vinny star, and the alleged smackdown remains under investigation.

There was no immediate comment from Pesci's publicist or lawyer.

Montenegro declined further comment on the attack, telling the Palm Beach Post, "everything's in the report."

Pesci has been working with old pal Robert De Niro on the CIA drama The Good Shepherd, which stars Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie and is due in theaters next December.
