There was a time I was excited to pay my rent, have my first apartment, when I first really learned to pay my bills on time and got it right, etc. For me, this all happened around age 19. It felt really 'adult'.
Now, while I still get a little thrill when I pay off more than I need to on my credit cards, the rest of it is routine. I'm not super proud that my rent was on time, bills are more of an annoyance than an excitement. That feels even more 'adult'.

Also adults don't do as many typos as I just did on my above post.

Happy to report those bills w/ insufficient postage went through - WHEW! - & a bitch bought some $.02 stamps

I'm very good with my finances. Well actually, it's just cos I'm a bit sad. I spend lots on utter shit, but I don't smoke, drink lots, go out every single weekend or ever go on holiday. Hell, I see regular haircuts as a waste of money cos it'll just grow back I'm stingy towards things that I can't hold on to. I'll spend a ridiculous amount on DVDs a month and more on clothes, but I'm reluctant to pay up on lots of other things. Saying that though, I'm very generous with my friends.

BUT, I've been putting off getting a pension for years. They remind me of being a proper adult and getting old, but I'm only 24. I suppose I'm quietly being a child and imagining somewhere down the line I'll win the lottery (which I don't even play) or marry a millionaire and make loads on money on the property market

Oh, and I'm rubbish at sending Christmas cards. Pretty much never do it. I just can't see the point. My parents have lists of everyone they know, it gets to over 100 people every year, most being people they haven't seen in years. I bet half the recipients didn't send them one and didn't call them to catch-up or anything. I'm so going to be lonely, scary old smelly cat lady in 30 years!

I forget stuff all the time so i have to constantly be nagged by my PA, accountant, friends and wife
