I was born around the same time as you guys and Masters Of The Universe was so not our generation. Cartoons like that, Thundercats, G.I.Joe and Transformers were what my little brother watched. Maybe I just grew up too fast.

One of my brothers is 5 years younger than me, and we had similar interests for quite a while. We both got into Star Wars and G.I.JOE. Masters of the Universe was just another show on in the afternoon after school, so we ended up watching that one, too. We probably would have gotten some of the toys if they weren't twice as expensive as the other action figures. Even back then, I resisted wanting to grow up.
