This is an eternal question with no apparent answer. But yes, it cracks me up every time. I've witnessed this MANY times in my life...and I'm never sure whether to retch or laugh.

I've been called 'handsome,' but in high school, I was always passed over for the pock-marked idiots with bad teeth. It's largely a personality thing--if you have an aura about you, it doesn't matter how ugly you are--you can get laid.
