I haven't read the rest of this thread but I can tell you after being around these parts for a while...

1) IT'S WAY MORE FRIENDLY NOW THAN IT EVER WAS!
2) But is it real friendliness? Sometimes I wonder... hmmm
3) The sense of humour quotient sometimes seems to have vanished in favour of New Agey hugs and kisses galore! Which is fine sometimes and when it's genuine, it's cool stuff, but seriously... some of y'all need a room for 12!

Now that I've read some of the thread I've got to thinkin'...

I don't feel I know anyone here that well as described by some, yet I've been here off an on for years...

It feels much more like cliquesville now than it used to though.

I think people were MORE OPEN before which is the opposite of cliquey as it is now... wonder why that is hmmm?

I think because people play it safe on the org these days. There's no grit, no balls!

lol

However I think that newcomer Spats has the right idea. I mean, he's gotta be a character orger, right?

A certain faction have made it less enjoyable through making base/crass/cheap/lame threads* - but as the saying goes, there are always a few bad apples in every bunch. Thankfully the majority are cool, generous and caring peeps who help keep the sense of 'community' together.

Bad apples get thrown out with the rubbish eventually anyway. wink

Not so long ago, one person on this forum pissed me off beyond belief. I posted for support and sympathy and one person spitefully posted a smiley face mocking my misfortune.

Can you guess whom that one person was?

Was it ever genuinely friendly? Most of the so-called "friendly" comments on here are the result of cliques defending its members, asskissing, people trying to get into each other's pants and plain old fear of conflict. There are moments of true friendliness though, in which cases it's very touching. But those moments are quite rare.

That would be me! smile and I had to endure about 2 weeks of you stalking my threads and posts, and not just leaving it alone, it was hardly REALLY mean.

Yeah, I know it was hardly really mean but it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I suppose you just gave the wrong response at the wrong time.

Sorry if I appeared to over-react. neutral

Well the main clique is that naked orgers one. Pen0r in hindsight just seemed like a bit of fun.

I use to bitch about it on threads (cliques that is) but i only see a couple of groups now.

Iam sure as some may not like me, they will not post in a thread or a reply i did. Maybe its the same for some of you? I know i dont care who posted what, but i know some of u do, and that is really sad.

I agree with what retina said in his first post mainly. I dont hate anyone on here, but iam sure lots hate some orgers for some reason?
