ONE DAY TRIP TO PARIS WHILE IN LONDON

Is this a dumb idea? For $90 and 2:45 very fast train ride, I can go to Paris one day and return the next.

Thanks SUSANNAH AND PURPLECAM.

I just figure it's one day and the trip isn't that long. Also $90 bucks round trip is not that bad.

Actually, the Netherlands is a good idea. It's easy to get from the airport to Central Station and then to walk into the centre of Amsterdam.

Miguel - you may not know about this site www.easyjet.co.uk

It is a cheap-flight airline. The flights are cheaper if you book in advance but you must make sure you get to the airport in plenty of time otherwise they may bounce you from the flight if they are over-allocated.

Welll....

In my experience, I'd say skip it. Make Paris it's own trip in the future. (Believe me, once you start traveling, you get that bug and you'll be going off all over the place in no time.) When I toured through Europe with 6 friends a few years ago Paris was in our itinerary but due to some poor planning we ended up only having about 24 hours there and it was sooooo not enough. Me - I prefer to have enough time to get a good sense of where I am when I'm traveling. You'll not be bored in London, believe me.

Of course, if you wanna do it just for the novelty of it, don't listen to me. lol

Very good point Carrie nod

Its up to you Miguel, do you visit quickly and see a little or save it for another time when you have more time to spare? Do you ahve to book it before you come over? If not wait and see how you get on in London, then decide...?

'Antwerp is a very nice country' lol

I spoke to a very dumb American once. He said 'You live in Antwerp? That's the capital city of Amsterdam, right?' eek

I'm not good at geography either, but I avoid to say stupid things like this by shutting up about it if I'm not sure. He was very self-assured, even started arguing about it. disbelief

Btw, Paris is beautiful, it sure is. How long are you staying in London? If you aren't to be there for more than a few days, I would just stay where you are. Both things are 'Europe', or they're supposed to be, but they're very different. I'd rather take time to enjoy the atmosphere of one those cities instead of hopping from one city to the other.

If you have the time, though, then it will be surely worth your time and money !

Thanks for all of your advice. I'm going to think about it. I may wait until I'm in London to decide.

Oh my God, those flights are really cheap, 17 & 23 pounds.

falloff

I don't find him attractive. I don't think I could marry him either. I'd be so nervous of all of his globe-trotting and balloon flying and trying to get to space. Unfortunately it wouldn't work. The money might help though.

I live in Paris. There's no risk, riots are over and these people would never bother tourists.

M, if you need any advise: orgnote me and you'll get my phone, I'll tell you about places to go according to what u like, if u want.

I think it's a wonderful place. You shouldn't miss it.
