I ran away from home today because my mom was unkind to me ... and the local library has great computers

i go to the library every now and again, when there's a book i want and i don't wanna pay for it, or when i wanna read something new but i don't know what i want. it's a no-risk (cheap) way to read something new.

i have to say this, though - although i like the chicago library okay and i was cool with the new york library, NO PUBLIC LIBRARY i've visited beats the INDIANAPOLIS PUBLIC LIBRARY.

the building is gorgeous, the selection is really amazing (especially for indiana!) and their music area? i probably learned more about music digging through all the indianapolis library's vinyl than i have from any other source. seriously.

Actually I don't visit library, I work there (Or did, now I'm on my mothernity leave and expect our third kid to come out any minute)

I was practically raised in the library and i love it there. when i was living in brooklyn i was a big fan of the brooklyn public library on grand army plaza. it was awesome. they had great computers, a cafe, a good selection and they had movie nights and art exhibits as well. I really miss that place sometimes. The best thing about it was that it was walking distance from my house, so on my days off i could just go.
