my son and i were talking over dinner, watching "DANCING WITH THE STARS" and we started talking about how we both really liked to watch certain dance styles. jake and i have always danced together, sometimes at home just listening to music, sometimes at the grocery store if a song comes on that we both like, we always dance together at weddings, or at holidays when the family is always together and the music is playing....


anyway, he asked me if i would think about taking dance lessons with him sounds like a ton of fun, and i would think the exposure to dancing would be good for him.... but, is that strange ??


i still say its sweet of him to ask

Take him to learn ballroom, cause chicks dig that. Especially if he never talks about it ever and then just busts it out one day with a new girl and acts like it just came to him. That's what I do with guitar.

i know im raising what will someday be a man so im trying to make sure that he has all the qualities that we as women see as the 'right' ones..... you know, like opening doors, pulling out chairs, please and thank-you's, using yes maam and yes sir, honesty, i could go on and on, but you get the idea

heres an example of something i thought was cute... jake is kinda liking a lil girl in his class. but, since he is not brave enough to tell her, he just kinda flirts a lot with her... so, for Valentines day he asked me if he could take a flower for all the girls and his teacher. that way, he gets to give the girl he likes a flower, but in his words, "all the girls deserve flowers on that day." damn, he makes momma proud lol


funny thing is though, he is very attracted to the tango - i dont see that he and i could take that kinda lesson lol, but oh how cute he would be up there doing a dance like that

we'll see, the place opens in an hour, im going to call and ask them what they can suggest
