City of God I finally got to see this fine film a few days ago. I thought it wwas excellent.
For a bunch of amateur actors they were great. I thought that the editiing and direction were exceptional too. You freally got the feeling of being in the overcrowded slums of Rio. I would give the film 8.5/10. Excellent!  When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading. | |

Excellent film. Bought it and watched it three times. Will watch it even more times for sure. It's that good. You are not my "friend" because you threaten my security. | |

Great film. But I refuse to call it 'City of God'. It's called 'Cidade de Deus'. This name-change takes away 20% of its coolness. (next to being a very sad film, of course) | |
