Would you call a child ugly

I've heard people call kids ugly many times. It doesn't sit well with me at all, but what about you orgers. Some people say all children are beautiful, because of their innocence yes, but physically that's not always true. Of course none of us or at least I hope none of us would tell a child they're ugly, but would you whisper it to a friend or how would you feel if a friend or anyone for that matter whispered that to you about some random kid?

I'd never tell a kid they look ugly, maybe "hey, you look just like your mother/father"

well honestly, no you don't say that to the kid, and usually the parent knows so I use the word precious when I see a baby that is less than cute because all babies are precious.

now you all know there are some babies out there that don't come here looking great, so what do you say to the mama who knows but is looking at you for a comment?

There is no need to call a child anything but his/her name.

People do not realize that this type of thing stays with a child into adulthood.

SammiJ if they could only see you now! sexy

I was so ugly as a child until kids used to throw bags over my head and beat me up. Adults used to gag when I walked by. My cousins used to call me "ugarilla". My Mom and Dad called me "their ugly little secret".
Presently I work in the bell tower in San Francisco. I had my hump surgically removed by M.J.'s surgeon. They donated the contents of my hump to the Stanford Medical department. The surgeons put my picture in the medical lab as a major donor to the institute. They covered my picture with a special push button covering.. A note reads ..."push at your own risk","the institute is not responsible for any ill effects regarding the extreme ugliness of this donor".
hah! "got cha",just kidding....
i feel no child is ugly...all should be regarded with admiration. Actually, I was a considered a cute child.batting eyes
typing i'm a closet comedian... shhh

By who's values does one judge "uglyness"?

I dare say a child who was called "ugly" would judge the person calling them to be "ugly" too

...and so would I

Personally i could never do it!! But then again personally i have never come across a baby that is ugly!! LOL maybe now that i've said that the next time i'm at work or crossing da street i'll see an 'ugly' baby!

lol This remindz me of a convo i had at work with a friend. She friggin crackz me up! She goes 'man i'd be such a bad mother if i had an ugly kid! If it started cryin i'd be all like talk to the hand rolleyes WHAT-EVAHHHH...but if it was cute i'd be all like mushy AWWWWW that's so CUUUUTE' falloff

Maybe you just had 2 be there but it was a very amusing moment in my eyes! lol

But that's just cruel as! It has the ability to create really bad self-confidence and spark complexes!! omfg no no no!
