I'm sooo excited, I can hardly wait! The computer guy will be here any minute to install it. I can't wait to get rid of this outdated piece of crap computer that I have right now.

Yeah, I know what you mean about screwed up keyboards, I just got rid of mine because it was a cordless one with a cordless mouse. I thought it would be great to have, but it turns out that I had two different ones, and neither one worked very well. Word to the wise: NEVER buy a cordless mouse, stick to the original. You'll be much better off.

The computer guy just left like a half hour ago. He disassembled my old computer, then hooked up my new one, installed all the programs (including virus protection, spam blocker and pop up blocker), and did some other stuff too. I love my new computer, it's much better than the old one that I had (which was 7 years old and really outdated).

It's a Dell Dimension 1100 that has tons of memory (which I really needed), a 17" flat screen monitor (takes up a lot less room on my desk), and a color printer that also scans. I'm going to have a lot of fun with it!

I just found out that there is an Owner's Manual in Adobe format. Guess it comes automatically with the computer. It also had AOL (which I had deleted, since I only use cable) and Wordperfect. I didn't think people even used WordPerfect anymore, but my computer guy said it was a new version of it??

isn't it a great feeling? i got a laptop for christmas and i was able to throw out my old, jacked-up computer with the gross looking monitor that i've owned for ten years.

i love how much memory computers come with these days...i felt like a freakin' caveman installing the three or four software programs i use, and realizing i have loads and loads of memory left over.

Why do you need a computer guy to install your computer. There easy to install.

I just put together a new computer over the weekend. It's all parts I bought after selling off older parts. It's now the fastest computer in my home. New computers are fun!

Yeah, I had problems with BOTH cordless keyboard/mouse sets that I had. Could be because the computer I had was so damn old, it just couldn't handle it.
