I have had some hearing loss. I know it's because of all the concerts that I've been too and all the clubbing I have done. I'm seriously considering wearing ear plugs when I'm out dancing. I could never imagine myself NOT being able to hear music. That would be the death of me. M [Edited 1/20/06 9:31am] I didnt notice the pun at first.. I know what you mean, I thought hearing aid, cant hear music? panic panic! worry worry! I know there are alot worse things that happen in the world, but when it comes to oneself we can be pretty selfish. Hope yours gets better soon

Last night I talked on my cell phone for an hour straight, and the thing is always too quiet, too loud, too quiet, too loud etc. This morning it seems like my hearing is fucked up in that ear. I assume it's temporary, like a concert experience, but I never thought that would happen from the phone. I hate talking on cell phones anyway, I think I'll stop entirely. Cell phones can be pretty scary, I mean it still is early days for us.. and the real dangers havent been enforced in us

I'm quite deaf. I went for the tests at the hospital. They did the beeps in the ear to which I said that it wasn't beeps I had problems with, it is words. I then did the words test in a sealed off room. Ear phones on. I had to repeat back all the words I heard. I ended up saying words like "whore" and "sh*t" I was shocked and when I turned round to ask if this was the adult test the guy testing me was laughing.
The words were "Four" and "ship" turns out I am quite deaf. I only hear from 0.20 decibels or something like that. They blamed it on listening to music to loud on my head phones. Damn Prince 84 onwards! To loud! If It was emancipation I would have been fine. Red. Go for the tests but there is little they could do for me. I'll need a hearing aid when I get older but in the meantime I just have to cope. It's harder for other people as they have to repeat themselves. A bit anoying but I'll survive! http://www.myspace.com/savage1999uk
