Mom just had surgery My mom just had bypass surgery. She's doing great thus far, made it through the first crucial 24 hours. We were worried about her because she is borderline diabetic and in generally poor health (smoker etc).
Wednesday she went in for tests, and they wouldn't release her, telling her that she needed surgery right away (two of her arterries were 100% blocked and one other was 70-80%) She has a long recovery period ahead. Although, she has proven to be stronger than we have given her credit for. I'm proud of her. Has anyone else had a loved one go through this procedure? Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

I hope everything goes well with her too.
My mom hust had a partially collapsed lung, they had to shove a tube in her side into her lung. They put it in the wrong way, so it was causing her much pain and she couldn't move much, then she found out the incision they made didn't have to be so big.  screw ups...

Hope she is O.k. I have parents with Health problems and my mom's friend just died of BREAST CANCER. It's really a SAD STATE of AFFAIRS. Hope all goes well. | |

i know 3 people who have had this procedure and they have now made a full recovery.
its hard when a parent is in the hospital i hope she makes a speedy recovery . | |

I didn't know John...I'm praying for her...and for you and the family.
My dad had a quadruple bypass and I will tell you that the cardiac rehab program following the surgery is CRUCIAL. He didn't do what he needed to do and he never really fully recovered from the surgery. Please make sure your mom listens to her doctor and does what she needs to do to heal. Love you. | |

Thanks for all of the well wishes guys...I'll relay them to my Moms, I'm going to see her right now. Last I heard, she should be out by Wed.

while walking the hallways last night, someone smelled like smoke and turned her stomach. I hope she sticks to it this time...she sounds sincere.
