Study: Seven percent of workforce drink on the job....

hmmm I really would have thought this number would have been higher. I personally would never drink on the job innocent lol I work with danger all day long, i.e. high voltages, sharp hazards, crushing hazards....etc....to drink on the job for me could mean death... but most people don't so I guess that number surprises me a bit.... confuse

I've never been drunk on the job. I was actually surprised the percentage was as high as that.

I've turned up to teach still very badly hungover, but not often.

My brother in law had quite a few cans of beer before going to work his security job last night and ended up getting beaten up. I don't know if the two were linked though.

Does this count boozie lunches? Or does it only include drinking whilst at work?

I've done many million boozie lunches and been pissed on return tothe office. woot!

I actually bothered to read the article and it does include lunchtime boozing. How the hell can it be only 7%?

Everyone in my office has had a boozy lunch (the ones that drink that is i.e 95% of them). I have one every 1 or 2 weeks. I had 2 last week! woot!

If you did this survey in Australia I reckon about 80% of office workers would say they drank during work hours (at least occaisonly i.e xmas, birthdays etc).
