I don't get why your tripin on threads as of late. take a happy pill or add a few more carbs to your diet. [Edited 1/12/06 18:49pm] Karen...this is just one of the many reasons I love you. One time a guy approached me and asked me for a dollar. I told him I didnt have any cash, then suddenly I realized I had loads of change in my wallet. So I told him to hold out his hands and I dumped all the change in his hands. I think it was around four dollars. He was so happy,he shook my hand. He said he would hug me but he "didnt want to get me dirty"
Then I get a tap on my shoulder,a guy says "give me some too!" I turn around and look at him. This jerk didnt need anything. He was just being an ass. I shot him an evil look. I didnt let him take the joy I had away from me. "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

I really think that homeless people should be given one of those ATM swiper thingies. I never carry cash. I use my ATM card for everything.
It's funny that everytime I go to a specific burrito place I know I have to take 3 extra dollars. Tip for the cashier, tip for the burrito maker and tip for the same homeless person outside. It really becomes an expensive burrito. Richard, don't feel guilty. When you can give then do it. If you can't, well, you can't. And don't feel guilty about treating yourself every once in a while with something frivelous and fun. xxoo M MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! It really is amazingly sickening when you think about the money we have for fucking bombs but cannot help the most needy of our own citizens. It's sickening and disgraceful and it is something that I believe in so yes, I will take time out every once in a while to do a "look at me and how nice I am" thread to inspire others Yeah, let's give a shit load of our cash to the less fortunate in this country. Go Communism! Well we have no problem whatsoever giving money to big business and corporations. The government of this country is supposed to serve the citizen not just capital. I take money out of my own pockets, not anybody else's, to help. That is not communism. Besides, the government still takes our money (i'm taxed and so are you), the least they could do is do something for the citizens instead of spending it all on bombs and satiating the rich. You know, I never wish bad on decent people but you are the perfect candidate for hard times so you can learn some damn compassion..... 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Sometimes people break my heart. Especially if they're out there w/ children, which could be all a game but it gets to me. I usually pony up for them.
A dude last week was eyeballing my wallet as I put change in the meter. I didn't give him any, it took a good 20 seconds for him to stop staring @ the wallet.

A dude last week was eyeballing my wallet as I put change in the meter. I didn't give him any, it took a good 20 seconds for him to stop staring @ the wallet. That is the worst for me too!!! I see so many scragly kids with fucked up parents on the bus. Not too long ago there was a couple of dudes lugging cans for recycling on the bus and they had the most adorable little girl with them. Her face was all dirty and she was holding a dilapidated ragdoll and I my heart was just falling to pieces. I gave them a $20 and told them to have a nice dinner. I mean at least those guys were looking for cans and they didn't ask for money but I could not stomach the thought of them not having food that night, especially with that little girl 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
