where do teens hang out these days??

when i was a teen the arcade used to be a cool place to hangout we used to go from arcade to arcade also another cool place was the mall..we spend many hours there hanging out..even 7-11 was a good hang out for us! heh when they had video games there! or even the rolling skating rink but now with alot of malls closing and arcades pretty much disapearing where do teens go to have fun now?? do they just spend a lot more time at home now or at their friends houses? it seems there isnt much to do anymore

I work saturdays now, so during the day, i dont hang out anywhere. Iam at college all week too.

At night, teens still hang outside newsagents or local supermarket near me, i use to hang out there too (too young to get into clubs).

chavs or goths where i live. They hang off estates too, and at parks, which can be pretty uninviting during the daytime. I remember when about 10 years old, me and my mates were playing football, and we got started on for no reason. And it would happen for many years after that, many bad fights..... now the parks have been cleaned up with skateparks and good b ball courts. Seems like labour did something good to run down communities.

that's good.
I never see the kids hang out around here much, I'm out at the wrong time of day/night. In about 8-10 years I will know all the hang-outs neutral

Hehe. My parents never cared where me or my siblings use to go. In a way, it made me independant and look out for myself.

I will be the opposite, paranoid mum, driving around at night, calling all their mates' mums, interrogating their brothers, posting comments on their myspace pages, biting my fingernails. Must remember they will probably turn out OK in the end.

Thats cool. U gotta remember, u think ur kids are angels now, wait until they are old enough to get into trouble. I didn't turn out too good, but i have matured enough to not hang with the wrong crowd now.

I have only heard of myspace through this site, and to be honest, it sounds kinda crap to me personally. This place is enough for me. Iam not a big internet person, not enough time, not my thing.

I see everyone on here has a myspace page? Is it a US thing that teens do (i know ur austrailian so is it big where u are too?)

Sounds like myspace is more for teens (particually girls who should know better then to flirt online lol )

Infact, i know my past has been dodgy, but things like myspace could be dangerous places for girls. I need to come on here more often, its fun

muse2nopharaoh had a thread here not long ago about that, her daughter had pix of herself in a bikini or something on there, and demonstrated how easy it was for a potential predator to find her school and address eek
