the opportunity has presented itself for me to branch out and start designing some handbags as well as jewelry...

i will make them dressy as well as fun, personally, i like fun better

what are some colors and/or patterns you wish you had on a purse ????


me, being that spring is just around the corner, i would really like something bright in color, or at least cheerful.... no more of these winter black colors im over them now..... lets see something like this

I'm so not good at this sort of thing!

This year the new black is brown, and the new blue is green.

Pink is still pink.

The new black should be moving into white.

Buttons are all the rage.

pokadots are dead in the water.

flurals will make a come back.

also think TWEED!

Bright springy stripes. I'm thinking shades of blues and purples. I'll be damned if I can find a sample though

also, give me a plain ole denim/khaki/sage canvasy type and I'm a happy girl

I love the polka dots! You should maybe do some vintage bags with pin up girl material if you can find it. I'd buy one of those!

ok as for textures...you can go two ways
if you choose to have the floral print as the outter part, make it like a crushed velvet (think like retro couch feel) and the inside stripey part should be like canvasy

OR

if you choose to have the stripey print outside, make it a thick corduroy and have the floral print inside canvasy

i'm all about the look and how practical and durable my purses are cuz im a purse freak and im rough with them too

i love purses but the org hates me edit.

i usually buy all my purses from old navy...i dunno why but they got what i like

i bought this one around a month ago in black
and that's the style i thought of instantly when i explained above




i have a slightly different one from the summer from old navy, and it had big silver rings joining the straps to the bag, basically the same style tho

I'm SUPER picky (so I'm not sure I'll be helpful at all!! ), the slightest wrong detail on something makes me

I don't like patterns much. I do like bold colors & clean details - nothing too busy.

A nice cranberry... deep orange... been loving green for years now & I'm wearing a lot more brown too.

I love brown & blue together, it's just a great combo. Brown & pink too...

I'm not helping, I'm just awake & bored

Experiment with texture Be bold n daring and miss match. You can do fun, you can even do vintage! Vintage is good cause i've found with that old world style u can do casual and dressy quite easily and each time u wear it it'z unique look you create.

I'd love to see what you come up with for sure!!

With the vintage- see if you can source some antique fabricz! That whole lacy/tapestry/old sofa kinda fabric. There is a woman close to where i live that does this kinda thing and i got a bag purchased from her for Christmas 2 yearz ago! Everyone wantz my bag!! Alwayz getz commentz!!

floral is nice but without the stripes, that just makes the bag too busy and painful to look at. I also like the brown and pink polka dots and maybe purple and black would look nice, too. good luck.
