The number of Americans who promised they would move to Canada if Bush got elected was in the millions and the number who actually did it is ZERO.

One time she moved a thread about famous red heads to the music forum because one of the people mentioned the simply red singer in the first post . I feel that it is often safe to write whatever you want if your post is a few down because she only looks at the top couple before deciding whether to move it. . [Edited 1/7/06 10:20am]

If only it were that easy. Most Americans can't just pack up and immigrate to Canada. I can't even visit Canada without undergoing a brief interview at the border and (usually) showing my passport. Although I don't have any serious plans to move to Canada in the near future, I have looked into it. I could probably get the Canadian version of a "green card" as a "skilled worker" and immigrate legally that way. But the irony is that due to the way my profession is regulated in Canada, I couldn't use those skills without first going back to school for a bit in Canada and/or "articling" (basically, working as an apprentice). Anyway, I'll be visiting there next month. Vancouver is a really nice city. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

I love Canada and some special Canadians!.When I was a kid we spent most of our summers at Long Beach near Port Colbourne, Ont. After high school I lived near Orillia, Ont for a year but had to move home because my parents were both ill. I brought my own Canadian with me and we made some little dual citizens. We're happy where we are for now but we'll probably move back there someday. i did move out of the country, just not to canada. too cold. So did DexMSR. And I was in Ontario earlier this week, actually, checking out some real estate, elementary schools, etc. And my wife is looking into licensure reciprocity with Ontario as we speak. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I love this place! As for thsoe who bitch and moan about the cold -come live where I do. We've had a grand total of two days of snow this "winter". We had a greeny-brown Christmas, and it's been raining and just above freezing since. Nice. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Nice. it's 80 degrees and sunny right now where i am. my temperature range for cold is quite wide and unreasonable to those who actually know the cold. Anything lower than 70 degress has me shivering at this point so "just above freezing" might as well be 100 degrees below zero to me. so..um..canada's cold. i like to visit but not to live. however, i can see why people love it there with all of its cool cities and, what seems to me, a low key and cool vibe. but yeah, it's feakin' feeezing up there. sorry. a greeny-brown winter doesn't cut it for a wimp like me.

Wuss. It's great outside. Summertime here it gets to be around 40 degrees C. (that's 100 degrees F to you) It's fantastic. [Edited 1/9/06 5:16am] "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
