Insomnia is a curse

I don't often suffer from insomnia - I'm usually the other way (I love my bed) but every couple of years I get bad bouts of it.

Right now I'm so tired I could cry for sleep but my mind's too active sad

Someone please cure or bore me.

hmmm that's interesting. I wish I could put it down to moon cycles though but I will see whether that has an effect.

I am ok mostly but when this happens there doesn't seem to be anything I can do except ride it out or try to over-tire myself during the day. For the past 2-3 weeks I've been averaging 3-4 hours sleep a night ... I'm getting to the stage where it's not enough so I'm hoping I'm coming to the end of it.

I'm wide awake right now but my body feels tired ... and there's nothing I can do about it sad

nod I can let her read the final paper I recently handed in to get my university degree. My grandma and my aunt asked to read it and I gave them a copy each, but so far (after a few weeks) these ladies, who have nothing to do during the day, have yet to get through it. confused

Yes, insomnia sucks. My recent bout of it seemed to make an endless night of my mind racing. At first I layed there and thought:

"That rerun of Rawhide was a nice rarity to see. Late night TV has so many lackluster options, it's neat to find something good - even if it is 2:30 in the morning. Rawhide, hmm... that rhymes with tide. That reminds me, I need to get laundry soap. Gee, what kind should I buy next? I really like the scent of Gain, but does it really get things as clean and bright as Tide? I've been using Tide since about 1992. What music was I listening to in 1992? Remember Vanilla Ice? I wonder if he ever used Tide? What other words start with the letter T? Do you think tea stains can be gotten out... not that I have any. I bet if I used Tide they'd come out..."

All of that whipped through my mind in a span of all of 5 minutes... and that was just part of it! Then I realized what was keeping me up. Those damn sheets! They are too rigid or something! You barely move and all you hear is "crinkle, crinkle." Damn, what's the thread count on these? I swear I usually buy between 250 and 300 thread count. I wonder if these were a gift from my mother or something. "Crinkle, crinkle." Oh shit, there it goes again...

I'll never get too sleep!

They are right. Sex will do it every time. Some of my deepest sleeps have been after sex.

I am sooo sorry to hear that u only got 2 hrs of sleep. Have u talked to the dr about this?
I did mine because a medication she gave me is causing some of my insomnia. She gave me samples of Ambien CR.
Sometimes Insomnia can be a major health issue...
