If you take out the beef and substitute meat gravy with onion gravy, and add some brussels sprouts instead of leek, then that's my favourite meal right there! Lucky Orger! Don't spoil your appetite!

Well, that's one of the few things I cheat on. I could make it, but it's abit time-consuming; plus, you can buy ready-made ones which are just as nice. It's basically the same as pancake mix but a bit thicker, and you cook it in the oven. Here's a recipe for it: Yorkshire Pudding A British favorite to serve with roast beef. Ingredients: About 1/2 cup beef drippings 1 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk 2 or 3 eggs Directions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Divide beef drippings between 8 muffin cups. Put in oven to heat. (You can use oil in place of drippings if you are making these without a roast - about 1 teaspoon per muffin cup). Mix flour and salt. Add milk gradually to prevent lumping. Beat eggs well and add to batter. Remove muffin pan from the oven. Divide batter between muffin cups. Place pan back in oven. Reduce heat to 375 degrees F. and bake until puffy and golden.

My bad. Just kidding. Well, it'll take you about two hours by train. But you're very welcome to visit.

I use more oil in each section of the tin also. The secret is to make sure the oil is really hot when you add the batter. I like them when they get really high. The batter can also be made to make another British favourite - Toad In the Hole. All you do is pre-cook some sausages and use a dish or baking tin instead of a muffin tray. Preheat a good amount of oil in the dish or tray, add the cooked sausages (or veggie sausages in my case) and then add the batter mix to the HOT oil. Cook for around 40-50 minutes until the batter is crispy on the top (it may be slightly burned at the sides if you're like me) and cooked all the way through. Delicious!

Thanks for that - mine was off a website. I just buy Aunt Bessie's ready mades - much easier. (What I haven't told Natisse yet is that she'll be doing all the cooking. )
