Magical Mystery Tour

Well? Ever see it? Know what it is? Do you want to go? Do you want to go? All aboard, the Magical Mystery Tour is about to begin.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

that film was the beatles' "graffiti bridge". snoozefest with a few decent musical production numbers.

as much as i'm left cold by the movie (or tv special, whatever you wanna call it), i love the album. some of their best, most colorful psychadelic pop comes from MMT. sometimes i think it's an even better effort than sgt. pepper, just because it sounds like a big coloring book to me. i'd love to have a copy of the original vinyl, with the book and the interesting packaging...wasn't it on two 10" vinyl discs or something like that?

you can definitely source it as a blueprint to 'around the world in a day', right down to the album title.

I've got it. smile

Or rather my dad does. But I could pick it up and he'd never miss it. And yes, the packaging is a hoot. I remember thinking it was so bizarre when I was really little.

TMPletz

The album is a must-have, yes, but the movie.... confused

I just watched it last week for the first time in a while, and realized why I hadn't watched it in so long. Maybe it would be better after smoking some weed, but I wouldn't know. lol

I'm still a very big Beatles fan, though. biggrin

huh? george wrote quite a few songs for the beatles.

i think it's the only song credited to all four beatles as co-writers, though.
