Which Restaurant Do You Prefer: Panera Bread or Brueggers Bagels?

For me, it's Panera Bread all the way. Not only do they have delicious bread, but they have yummy soups, sandwiches and salads too. I used to go to Brueggers for their bagels, but not as much anymore, I kinda got away from that place.

There is a Brueggers Bagels near me that has been around for awhile, then a Panera Bread was opened right across the street from it. I recently made a comment to a coworker that I wondered how long Brueggers would stay open, since Panera (in my opinion) is sooo much better than Brueggers. Panera's always has a crowd of people in there; if you don't get there before 12 noon, there's a HUGE line of people waiting to place their orders. Panera's has it all over Brueggers, and it shows judging from the number of people I see in there all the time.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

i've never seen the bagel place, though i would really love to find a nice bagel shop in my neighborhood that sells fresh, toasted bagels with a nice selection of cream cheeses...we have an einstein's bagels, but that place gets on my nerves. it's a chain place and they always have some kind of obnoxious little "meal deal" add-on that they pressure you to buy. i just want a damn bagel. mad

Bruegger's is a chain too. But I am addicted. boxed

Every weekend on either Saturday or Sunday morning I get a western breakfast bagel. It is oh so yummy. And I get a tea. And I read my City Pages. And I cannot stop eating them once a week. I get it on a rosemary olive oil bagel and there is egg and cheddar cheese and onions and green peppers and roasted red peppers and some kinda chipotle sauce. It comes with bacon, but I only have that once in a while. I often get it without. My mouth is litarally watering just thinking about it. I can't wait for tomorrow morning.

As for Panera, I've only eaten there a few times. I enjoyed it the times I did.

oh, i don't care if it's a chain. i love my chipotle burritos, after all!

i just like to go to a bagel place to get bagels...it's something i miss from living in new york. you could go in and get a great big bagel, toasted, with some kind of funky veggie cream cheese, and pay under two bucks for something that would fill you up on a lunch break and not be terribly unhealthy for you.
