I am lol and i call strangers darling at work- not condescending or flirtatious its just that i get overly comfortable at times in my approach to customers. But even outside of work- definitley touchy feely- if i feel a person is all straight and unresponsive to it- as in maybe a bit uncomfortable i stand back a bit. But generally it is well recepted nod

people in general? no... anyone I'm not comfortable with or don't know I have this invisible alarm barrier that goes WARNING WARNING TOO CLOSE TOO CLOSE lol

close friends and family I'm very affectionate nod

nod

Same as me, I guess.

I'm pretty tactile. I wasn't when I was growing up but I'll give my mates a hug, no question. hug

Anybody else: this is when I don't like having my personal space invaded. I work with people who - if they have to tell you something - will come RIGHT UP TO YOUR FACE. Get out! talk to the hand I think the look on my face usually tells them to back off. lol

I guess it just depends on who it is. wink

wow, this has been an interesting read...

everyone who knows me in real life knows that i am an extremely touchy feely kinda person. i hug on the way in and on the way out, i DO call people 'hun' or 'sugar' or 'darlin' (hiding from carrielee boxed) but, thats just how i am... i dont mean any harm, i just want to try and make folks comfortable and at ease...

sad seems that from reading this thread, i've done just the opposite.

come over here naked hug

I love being touched but I'm not someone who'll instigate hugs and stuff. I LOVE it when people do though, and do it in a natural and genuine way. It makes me feel good.

lol@come over here naked.... i knew what you meant wink

im glad there are folks out there who can appreciate my way of showing kindness hug

i dont like touchy feely people if i'm not close to them. if its someone i don't know i tend to be suspicious of them or freaked out by them.

nod...

With my family and with friends, I'm very affectionate, but, a bit stand-off-ish as well...

Warm hugs, sweet smooches, well wishes...then, stand on your own two feet please...!...(Grownups, I mean...)...Because children want to climb, and pull, and swing on you all day long. And I love them too...But, adults---sit up straight, and, so that I can conversate with you from across some room, PLEASE! Don't sit/stand so close, and breathe/bump/pat/poke/fall on me eek as you try to get attention to make your point/joke/whatever...wilted I'm up/out!

Stangers---I'm okay...See, my daughter and I were shopping in the market a couple of days ago, and this young man caught my eyes with his. He stopped and appeared to be looking for something before he spoke to us out of the blue...He wished us a happy new year, said he wanted and hug, and said "I love you". I responded in kind, and I felt perfectly fine about it...He was good looking tho...blonde hair, blue eyes, body...lol...ooooh. rose But, anyway...it could have been anybody, I suppose... smile

As for my partner---I feel that I should be aroused by his touchy-feely most of the time, and anticipating his "connection" with me all of the time because of it. cloud9 rose
