I want stories!

I'll start:

I once got drunk during a job interview.

It was for a large hotel group (Hilton I think) and the guy interviewing me had been in a conference all day. He arrived a little tipsy and offered to interview me in the bar. Initally I was a little cross and refused but it became apparent that he was going to drink his way through the interview whether I joined him or not, so I threw caution to the wind.

I didn't get the job but I did get absolutely off my trolley, and so did he. I remember looking at his head wobbling from side to side as he struggled to keep it straight and the barmans look of disapproval as the guy interviewing me snapped his pen in half because it wasn't a Hilton pen.

The funniest thing was trying to get home from central London (by the time the interview had finished I had no idea where I was or how I'd got there so couldn't orientate myself) and then having to explain to the recruitment agent and my husband that I'd got drunk.

So, you all must have stories ... the Org's slow and I want to hear them!

when i was in 5th grade ...i ploted out murdering my principal
( to be carried out by a classmate ! )

i brought the knife to school ...

I think a lot of kids have violent thoughts about people in their lives. I did. It didn't mean I was going to do them, but I was embarrassed once when an ex read some of the things I had written about her. Choking her, etc.

The interesting thing was that I was reminded of that when I heard Eminem--but I was only 14 when I had those thoughts. People said he was immature, but i knew exactly how immature he was.

And the violent thoughts, like you say, are both cries for help and lack of understanding of the "true impact of violence." That's why kids can be more dangerous than adults.

I'm glad it was only thoughts with me. I did inflict violence, but it was on myself--hitting walls, etc.

In my early 20s I dropped acid with one of my cousins only to find out she promised her mom she would go to Bible study and she convinced me to go with her and in the middle of the study we started frying our damn brains out I had to pretend like I was sick so we could leave

I'd say trippin in the house of the lord might qualify

About 45 minutes later I am in the bathroom looking at my melting self in the mirror thinking...What the hell am I doing here on drugs!! If ever there was a time for lightning strikes, surely that had to be it. But God saw bigger plans for me in this life so he spared me
