Freddy or Jason?

or maybe i should say "Nightmare on Elm street" versus "Friday the 13th"
Which do you like?
I would easily say Nightmare on Elm street, cause it`s less blood and guts, but both series got worse by each film.

I would say the Freddy Kruger series. At the time when I was really into it, the blood and guts ( and just Freddy's antics period) made me like them more. He was funny.

If I had to pick one, it would be Jason.

Freddy Talks too much, I like Jason and Michael Myers because theyre more quiet and mysterious.

What's mysterious about somebody who carves people up left and right? They're just plain and single minded. confused

Freddie actually has me a bit unnerved, which is a great accomplishment for a movie. thumbs up!

Freddy is a much better villain, since there's simply no way you can sympathize with him (as opposed to Jason, who's more of a victim turned evil).

Isn't Freddy a child molestor? I'm pretty sure he molested little girls before killing them. Plus, not being able to fall asleep is far, far worse than just a big guy stalking you in reality with a knife.

There in lies the problem though... you have to run away from them just at the right distance between them and you for long enough to actually get to know them without being cut up in the process. hmm Sorry, feeling a wee bit silly right now, I'll go have a bath boxed

There was this one where this little girl was the only one who could stop him. She had a huge dollhouse. That's all remember. I don't think he did anything to her though. Actually, I think he even had a daughter before.

He once had victim whose father molested her as a child and he made her re-live it in a nightmare. That's why I liked watching Freddy. He got into ur head for real.

The movie Freddy Vs. Jason was more funny than scary. Folks were laughing their asses off in the theater.

Well, she was a teenage Patricia Arquette, not a little girl

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)

Actually, I think he even had a daughter before.

That would be Dr. Maggie Burroughs, played by Lisa Zane

Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare 1991

Err, that's SORTA like a scene in Freddy's Dead, but not quite right.

Personally, I prefer A Nightmare on Elm Street. In the case of both series, they degenerated into parodies of themselves after a few films. The original Nightmare is still a classic.

Some people love the first Friday the 13th, but to me it will always be a lousy rip-off of Halloween

They're both pussies. It's all about Michael Myers. Which reminds me...I owe somebody in this thread a DVD! eek redface

At any rate - Krueger. Jason became a joke in later films. Krueger was always a jokester.

Well, you really don't need to. Only the first one is worth a damn. The others are fun, but hardly essential viewing.

Myers Rules!! Of course, he's had some stinkers in his series as well, but the original Halloween is still the best!!!

nod I think that was what made the Nightmare films a little more watchable. Both series turned into jokes, but at least it suited Freddy a little better.

I can enjoy those movies, but it is purely for the fun, schlocky nature of them. I loved Freddy vs Jason, but mainly because it didn't take itself too seriously. The director knew what these movies had degenerated into, and decided to have some fun with it.

Jason. I could never take either seriously, but some of the Friday films are flat-out hilarious.

Well, the first Friday film was flat-out hilarious, but I didn't much care for the one's without Chris Tucker.

Is the next Friday film gonna feature Ice Cube taking on Jason?
