Am I unusual?

I hate hen nights. I really don't enjoy large female gatherings, especially if male strippers are involved - I'd far rather see female belly dancers or other entertainment but men stripping leaves me cold.

Perhaps it stems back to a hen night experience I had when a stripper really embarrassed me. And another time when I got picked on by a comedian because I was female and sitting in the front row.

Don't get me wrong - I love evenings out with my close girlfriends and I love girlie talk. My friends and I don't get into one another's sex lives though - well, only a little bit, but it's never too personal. We don't talk about our men like men seem to think we might. It's mainly about problem-solving I guess.

But large all girl gatherings I really don't enjoy. I'd rather be in mixed company.

How about you? What type of social situations do you most enjoy or most dislike?

One of the Über Stag Night Events is going to The Banana Bar.

The ladies there do for banana's what that Asian lady did to ping pong balls in Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert.

I went there TWICE, and both times I got picked to come and nibble on some banana sticking out from the most UNUSUAL fruit basket...

Sigh... I declined twice and was called faggot, which only made me beam...

I only have a couple very close girlfriends, I don't do large women crowds shake Mixed or all male company's best for me, regardless of the orientation of the men.

I LOVE being the only female in all-male groups and again it doesn't matter to me about the orientation of the men. It's just cool being "one of the lads" biggrin

You're not unusual. I love the company of my mates and a big night out but I hate stag nights/bachelor parties. I can think of nothing more boring than a large group of men and strippers.

Strippers are boring and i always feel embarassed for them.

I heard an awful thing that happened to a guy I know at a bucks night disbelief it was held a to the footy club with a stripper who was actually a hooker. Things got very out of hand and the groom ended up doing very regrettable things sad and it was photographed. Needless to say he did not get married.

I love my men and I love my woman.... I work well in both crowds easily. I am simply a people person.

As for strip work..... It just doesn't work for me weather at a male joint of female...in large groups I am often targeted and generally whisper to the entertainer ya really don't want to go there.... I am always gracious but quick to end the situation.

I am more drawn to the quiet one in the room. wink

Reincarnate I could not agree with everything you said more! I love hanging with my girlfriends, but I prefer being in big groups of both men and women. Ive always been a big tomboy, and I like the company of men, but not in a flirty way! They can just be easier to talk to than women sometimes. And Im dreading my friends getting married because theyll probably want to get a stripper or something, and yuk! No thankyou disbelief My hen night, should it ever happen, will be a quiet affair! Why change who I am because Ive chosen boyfriend-for-life?! Dont make sense!

For me, some things were meant for behind closed doors nod

I've only ever been to one hen's night, and it was OK, it was drinks at my sister in-laws house, there was a stripper but the guy in charge of the music was cuter mad I love these things if all the older ladies go - I love to watch them having fun perving at the young boys! I have so far declined all other invitations to pub crawls, party buses etc. Not my idea of fun disbelief

Oh, well the "guys' night out" is always wonderful. Perfectly decent males turn into overgrown boys that think the funniest thing in the world is to call each other names and compete who can laugh the loudest. I hate them for being so ridiculous and they hate me for not wanting to participate. It's great! woot!

yay! I'm glad there are a few of us who feel the same way.

I have fallen out with friends in the past I'm afraid to say, because I've found an excuse not to attend a hen night when I've known it's a huge party of girls/women and strippers. I hate to feel pressured to attend these things and of course I'd go if it were a close friend, but basically if I can avoid going, I will.

Those are the ones I hate the most! biggrin ... older ladies grabbing strippers and rubbing lotion into them. Once I saw a lady disappear under a stripper's cloak. I don't know if she was doing what he was telling us she was doing but I just couldn't take it. I think my constitution is a little delicate for that boxed

I don't like the idea of a "girl's night out" or a "hen night" or whatever you want to call it. If you can't have fun with all your friends, why be friends with them?

Besides, nearly all my friends of both genders are gay or bi, and I don't really know any straight females I'd want to go out and party with. And from what I understand, the "girl's night out" and "guy's night out" thing is a hetero phenom. smile

That, and male strippers are gross. They all look like variations of Fabio. ill So not hot.

If I ever get married I plan to hold a good, old-fashioned drunken houseparty the night before so the entire wedding party is hungover the next day. It's a family tradition, after all. lol

The only good thing about a hangover is the fun that got you there! And sometimes, yeah, it's worth it. biggrin
