My first name has been tough to track. It's more typically an Anglo-Celtic surname and, depending on the source, is either of Scottish distraction possibly by way of an older Dutch lineage and means "dweller on the hill" OR it's a derivative of an English name which is simply borrowed from a British region where those families lived.

My middle name is of celtic origin and means "God's grace or mercy."

Martina is the female version of Martin - i've always liked the connotation of compassion for others...

MARTIN
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, French, German, Russian, Romanian, Czech, Slovene, Hungarian, Bulgarian
Other Scripts: Мартин (Russian, Bulgarian)
Pronounced: MAHR-tin (English), mar-TEN (French), MAWR-teen (Hungarian) [key]
Extra Info: Popularity, Related Names, Namesakes, Name Days, Websites, Comments
Options: Contribute Information, Add to List
From the Roman name Martinus, which was derived from Martis, the genitive case of the name of the Roman god MARS. Saint Martin of Tours was a 4th-century bishop who is the patron saint of France. According to legend, he came across a cold beggar in the middle of winter so he ripped his cloak in two and gave half of it to the beggar. Five popes have borne this name. Two other influential bearers were Martin Luther, the theologian who began the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century, and more recently Martin Luther King, the American civil rights leader who fought for racial equality.

Well my name has it's "real meaning" and then what it means to me.

My first name is English/French in origen and is the feminine form of Daniel which means "God is my Judge". My mom chose it because my grandmother's maiden name is Daniels.

My middle name was totally made up by my great grandmother. It is a combination of her and my great grandfather's first names. My grandmother was given this as a middle name also.

I need to look into my last name. typing

Update: Last name is a midevil derivitive of "cock". As in rooster... lol
